Brendan is a Professor of power electronics and electrical energy conversion at RMIT University. He has made a significant contribution to the understanding of the modulation principles and dynamic control of solid state conversion systems, particularly for multilevel inverters, isolated bi-directional dc-dc converters, and current regulators for motor drives and power grid applications. He has authored over 170 international journal papers and conference articles, has served as an Associate Editor for 3 IEEE journals, and is currently an elected member-at-large on the IEEE Power Electronics Society Administrative Committee (AdCom).
